The recently opened Pakyong Airport is the closest airport to reach Sikkim; it is about 35 km away from Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. From there, you can quickly get a cab or any public transportations to reach Lachung.
The second closest airport to reach Sikkim’s Lachung is Bagdogra Airport, approximately 124 km away from Gangtok. This airport is mainly connected with all the major destinations of the country. Several public transport vehicles are available from Bagdogra airport to reach Lachung. You can also get on a helicopter ride to visit this beautiful place.
